May I ask why you specifically want the Axiom?

It is a very heavy rod and makes sense in the heavier weights as it casts beautifully even in wind. But in the lighter weights this can be a bit excessive.

In that case Weizterfish does them for R2850 and you get a R320 voucher for your next purchase.

I ordered a TFO BVK from flyshack.com. Shipping was $30 and the rod was $249, so the total cost was just under R2400 landed, all in. And I got it in 3 days.

Funny thing was that the original TFO dealer invoice was left in the packaging, so now I know that the dealer price was $125. Healthy markup that!

This is what I was alluding to when I asked about the preference for the Axiom.

In a 5 weight I would rather have gone for the BVK - it is 42% lighter than the Axiom which is a massive difference.

Ask Mike to tell you about the markup the Albright guys were hitting him with and I bet it'll be far worse.

One minute their stuff is a few hundred USD, the next it's about 50
