    I know this has been argued about before but here is a very good article explaining it:

    Interesting that the article mentions that you could order a bamboo rod for dry fly or wet fly action rod.

    After years of having a very 'single rod action', more manufacturers are developing more specific rods for specific fly fishing applications, i.e. dry fly, nymphing etc.
