I was going to name this fly "G's Furry Mouse" but after checking out the coloring of the mouth (still wet ), I decided otherwise. Looks like this fellow had a few Ducklings for breakfast.
Some notes about this fly;
The underbody is a foam cylinder covered with a patch of tan furry foam. The cylinder is cut at an angle (to achieve a flat surface) to form a slightly tapered head. Just as with the Mini bird the last bit of shank (2mm) together with hook eye completes the tapered mouth. Small 3D eyes are added on that flat surface I was talking about and for the ears I used 0.5mm foam cut to shape. A combination of Brown, Light brown and Maroon markers were used to get the coloring I was looking for. I used a Grey Squirrel strip for the tail.
