Default Extended mayfly bodies and shucks.

On Pascal Cognard's conference, he told the story of how he caught a trout, during one of the world championships, that was feeding on the shucks of mayflies.
I had an old way of tie the shucks and extended mayfly bodies.
I found this "new way" of tying extended mayfly bodies and that can be used as a shuck imitation as well.

Watch the video clip at the end. So easy.
as the author said, he can tie 10 in the time that it would normally take to tie 1.

the hackle trick is also a neat way of tying the hackle.

    Hey Korrie

I have tried this trick a few times, works really well, just have to be light on the dubbing so its not too thick.

It works well for nymphs too, the little bit of air caught in the dubbing makes the tail point upward, gives it some nice action waving about in the currents.

I agree, thanx Korrie, this really is a super way of doing the extended bodies! He has to be an engineer... ;-p

With the silicone permeated thru the dubbing, that body will probably be industrucable.
a lovely saturday afternoon task. Making 50 or 60 bodies in different colors etc.
once you have the knack of it, probably less than an hours work to make up the 60 bodies or so.

Not just mayfly bodies. Not perfect but you get the idea

An honest fisherman is a pretty uninteresting person.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and not only is he hungry but broke for the rest of his life as well.

Nice dude, that's how I tie them. Very cool indeed. I won't lie though, ha ha, I have never fished it! Still need to test, let me know if you have any luck.
