Thanks for the advice everyone i really appreciate it!!

Just one more... im looking at a good 2nd hand reel at the moment.. its a Pentz Predator 8-9-10 reel with extra spool for R1200. Is this a good buy as im mainly doing surf fishing in and around Jeffreys Bay and also salt rivers and estuaries. I was looking at the Xplorer XPLA 2 reel but some folks rate its not worth if im salt fishing..

what you guys think?? Maybe another reel could be recommended?? my budget is pretty limited.

The Predator is a good reel, although the drag does go after a few years. It can be easily repaired by replacing one of the drag washers.

R1200 is a bit steep though for a reel that is more than 12 years old.
