    Make sure the line is cleaned and treated ... Short of that, buy a line better suited to the temperature you intend to fish it in

    Not all lines (and line coatings) are created equal.

    Thanks(I think). Cleaned(soapy water)?, Treated???

    You lost me my friend, if possible please supply more detail regarding the treatment. Would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for the advice.

    Im fishing the Jbay-Gamtoos and St Francis bay area.. avg sea temp here is about 17degrees going to about 22-23degrees in summer. SHould be fine if you look at the temp range on the website

    Just watch out if a line is designated as cold, when it is used in warmer settings is typically gets 'sticky' which leads to tangles in your line when casting long lines. Its fine when the line will remain cool/cold.

    You need to check your application and the temperatures involved.
