    Default Tigerfish venue

    Hi Guys,

Any recommendations for a great tigerfishing venue for this time of year?

Thinking of a quick week getaway with the missus.

    Thanks!

Sekoma was an awesome place to go to, and my missus enjoyed herself thoroughly.

Thanks guys. Any idea of the costs? (I've seen Sekoma's on the other thread).

Sekoma was 1950 per person per day, includes 20L fuel and 3 meals a day. Plus you have your own personal guide that is more than willing to change flies for the missus, thus leaving you alone to do some more fishing :-)

    Tafika and Shamashanga - www.tafika.com
drop me a pm with your email address and I'll forward the pricing schedule

You're looking at roughly 300USD per person per day all in (accom, meals, drinks, guide and 50l of fuel etc). The game viewing is incredible and there's far less fishing pressure than the other areas mentioned in this thread.

Bit of logistics and serious cost to get there though, your best bet will be commercial flight to Harare at around R4k return pp and a charter flight to their airstrip from Harare at around 2000USD return.

No, for the plane - plane generally takes 6 people (5 passengers + pilot) with around 100kg's of luggage.

We fished at Royal Chundu in March. Excellent accommodation, and LOTS of river to explore. Decent boats too. Access is easy with a flight into Livingstone and a 50km transfer to the lodge.
