    Default JAM fly

    Has any body a url or site that I can find tying instructions for the JAM fly. Does a video of the tying procedure exist>????

    Nope...you are out of luck...you can only googe it or search under threads on here and try and copy it from what you see in the picture...

    I have a hand drawn How-To given to me by Murray Pedder many years ago.

    The biggest schlepp of the JAM fly is the preparation of the silicone sheets prior to cutting out your components and then only tying the fly. Wonderful fly however, to tie also.

    Here is a link to a step by step for a silicone crab pattern, on the site there are also good pictures of JAM flies if you used the same technique for preparing the silicone
    And copying the JAM flies you should be able to get it with a bit of practice.

    Chewy skin works well if you don't want to make silicone sheets. I really don't see the need for all that time and effort when there is that stuff around.
