Clousers will cover 90% of what you need
With a few flippers and brush flys your arsenal will be complete !!

What ever you do never confuse Fishing With catching Fish !!!!
Fish Are Friends Not Food
But your reasoning has a fatal flaw; it overlooks the fact that to comprehend it requires that one rub a few brain cells against each other. The heat thus generated produces the light that illuminates the fact, but alas, not everybody has the resource required to fuel the process --SG
I'm trying to locate a few other sites apart from Cape Vidal to try.
Something down in Richards Bay, manager of our office there will show me.
Obvious advice - be careful of crocs in the estuary.
A less visited spot on the way to Vidal is Mission Rocks - maybe worth a try.
Charlies, Clousers, small baitfish patterns, flippers - usual suspects. IMHO, smaller is better.
9wt should be fine.

Don't forget your Salty Buggers, they catch many things.
7WT is more than adequate for what you are likely to get into.

I got a cheapy Xplorer ProCast 9WT for this task along with an intermediate line.
I just need some advice on a stripping basket and I should be fine.
What do you guys use?
Shopping basket, if they don't want to sell you one, go "borrow" it.
I'll be in Vidal from the uhmm ... 21st I think, not exactly sure.

Fishy Pete Bar in St Lucia, tactics discussion and confidence gathering exercise.
I only drink AFTER fishing my friend, if it works out we can arrange to fish together once I have a better handle on my movements there.
In the interim however, seeing as you are in Gauteng, I have a second basket I can give you, if you don't come right with one from your local PnP or SPAR, show you how to rig your bungee cords, give you some salty buggers and clousers for you to copy (if you don't already have your own) and discuss some tactics and things.
