    Default Trout in Summer Time

I took off the last couple of days of 2012 and spend them at Elandskloof in the Dullstroom area.

The weather made things interesting with lots of rain, fog and the warm sunny days.

When I arrived on Wednesday morning it was cloudy and I just got everything unpacked when the rain started. Just heavy rain with no thunder.

It did not take me long to get on the water...

    And soon after launching

With a nice 18 inch class fish

Some more photos of the trout I caught

Great stuff. Some nice shots there. Amazingly Dullstroom is one of the few places I still haven't fished.

    Thanks guys,

Fly fishing for trout in summer time can be hard work...

    But very rewarding.

I caught 8 fish in the 18 inch class and a number around 15 inches.

The flies that were very productive was red eye damsel (olive) and lake dragon (olive).

You know when you are on as the fish hit them very hard...
