Out of interest, I have family who moved from NZ to Auz 3 or 4 yrs ago and they say the freshwater fly fishing is top notch too ? Even my cousin Karen who isn't exactly the most active of participants has a rod and 'regularly' catches in and around either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne (if forget where they're living now)

Looks like you are having a ton of fun down there mate. I love Ozie fishing, had a great time down there last November, And should be back before the end of the year.

This time I'm definitely going to Perth and Weipa.

I have a good SA mate in Sydney who wants me to spend some time there - I will be sure to send you an e-mail beforehand and perhaps hook up (excuse the pun)
