    Default A New experimental fly.

While strolling thru a fishing shop in Paarden Eiland, more focused on the ski boat and rock and surf Big Catch, www.bigcatch.co.za I stumbled on these little light sticks.
When the plastic tube is half snapped, the Fluorolescent light, "ignites" and gives of a very bright glow.
In the past, we have experimented with "glow beads" in the stillwaters for trout. With varied results.
The light emited by the glow beads were much less, than these little plastic tubes.
I have booked a spot or 2 on Lakensvlei for the coming weekend.
I am going to tie a couple of streamers (Goldilocks, wooly buggers, zonkers etc) with these little plastic tubes.
If tied correctly, you will be able to break/snap the tube, just before casting.
The glow lasts for about 4 to 5 hours.
Giving you enough time to check and compare results with your boat partner.

    WIll give feedback on Monday,
