Not really. These guys are much harsher but much of the time they don't understand the implications of an argument. An argument is not:
Give your point of view, Not back it up properly and then when it is challenged resort to personal attack. Sealine would mess us up in a cuss and attack session but not in arguing as most fly fishermen can think (maybe a gross generalization to fly fishermen and spinner fishermen)
An honest fisherman is a pretty uninteresting person.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and not only is he hungry but broke for the rest of his life as well.

I think you hit the nail on the head there with regards to the gross generalisation bit.

Q: "Baitcasting successful for trout ?"
A: You can, but it is the same as taking your sister to your matric dance.

It is such a beautiful piece of land and now the snobs keep it for their elitest sport.
Can't I just join the club and maybe have a picnic under the trees with my family and maybe play a bit of soccer with my son - I mean - I have the soccer balls already and clubs and golf balls are SO expensive"

I'll support eradication of trout, as soon as all other alien/introduced/inported/exotic things in the country are also eradicated with them.

This comes from a totally different thread on Sealine which is much in the same vein, although in a different set of circumstances.
