    Thanks for the comments guys.

    I usually cast moderate to slow action rods, and I think the combination of a soft tip and strong backbone counters the casting actions. I slowed my stroke down, and the leader just collapsed. I need to do the review more justice and head to the Vaal in Septmeber. I am sure it will be in its element there.

    Its a nymphing stick...its not meant to cast a mile. You cant have a specialist rod, and expect it to perform like an all rounder.
    You will probably find that it will throw a 30 foot leader beautifully.

    Its not a general tool, rather specific as you say. I cant wait to use it in its proper environment, but going to have to wait for summer for that!
