Thread: Mountain streams - dry or nymph for prospecting?

My short answer is, whatever you prefer. I'll happily chuck a dry all day, and the same with a nymph. Seeing a slow rise to a dry, and then the sip - well, that's something else hey

As suggested, truck and trailer rig with dry and dropper on differing lengths of nylon depending on water depth.
Alternately, double rig nymph for deeper pools.

Adjust the size of your flies accordingly to negate PLOPS and all the stuff discussed.
    Some blokes overthink it.

This is a great prospecting rig.
