Default Fishing in murky waters - flies, technique etc

    Hi Everyone

The upper vaal river area's i normally fish don't have very clear water. Even when the flow is not to fast the water tends to be murky.

Please share your knowledge, expertise and advice on how best to fish in these conditions.

I would be keen to hear what flies, leader setup and technique you guy's may have used that has proven successful.

small black nymphs with standard upstream/indicator nymphing techniques have always worked for me.

I find even in murky waters the standard flies like copper johns, ptn hotspot, mustard caddis, green rockworm etc all work.I usually opt for a 2 fly rig and like adding a small indicator as i like work water over a large area and dont czeck nymph too often.
I think if you search some of the older threads you should find some really good info on the setups guys use and more so current hot flies.
