Yasuyuki gets the blanks in a raw state from Studio Thin Line. He has special paint/dip process that he does himself, then ferrules them himself, and does the rest of the building, which includes turning his own hardware on a small lathe in his attic. His stacked bamboo seat spacers are quite special.
I guess what makes it different is the level of actual making that goes into it. His work is superb, close to (if not) flawless.
