Better drifts, softer tip for fighting fish and Im happy fishing only a dry with it. Very versatile rod.
I built mine mainly to use in the NEC for controlling long drifts in the lower sections, its definitely a great rod, I just don't like casting it as much as my short lighter rods. Maybe its the swing weight or maybe it is just me needing more time to get used to the action. Its a pretty specialised rod to me, even though a lot of other guys on the forum will say its a great all rounder. Its great for some things for me, not so great at others. I owned some pretty ridiculous specialised rods though, so the ESN fits into the collection perfectly.
