    Default Clarens and surrounding areas

I am opening this thread for anyone that stays in this area or would be interested in visiting and fishing the area. The locals have access to private waters and should you want to fish the most amazing unique waters in the country, or you have already done so, share it in this thread.
Fishing is just my thing. I don't know what it is but it seems that i just can't get enough of it.

We will start with some Ash river fishing

The Ash river is part of the Lesotho river project and once it gets into this country forms a real fast flowing river that is very unique.

Here are some pictures of the fishing in the area:

    Hi Werner

Sjo size 26 (and smaller) you must have a pair of steady hands!!

I am interested in tying some small patterns (smallest I have tied to date was 22's)

Been reading a lot about small dries and I would really appreciate it if you could share some of your flies.

Not sure whether my current camera will be able to document it but I will give it a shot. Since I recently lost my treasured fly box with over 200 micro's in it I should probably start replacing it. Luckily I have hooks. Not the easiest thing to obtain size 32 hooks in this valley.

I will be up in Jhb come the 24th and will make a turn at St's if anyone is in the area. Will be up there for about a week. In the mean time I will see what I can do.
