An official introduction.

Hi guys, greetings.

I pop onto the site from time to time, but recently realized the protocol of introducing yourself.

So, officially, my name is Dave Moorcroft, early 20's and currently a geology student at NMMU. I am fortunate enough to live on a farm which borders on 10km of coastline just outside of P.E. I have grown up doing all sorts of fishing within the Eastern Cape and surrounds.

Rocks and surf fishing was my bread and butter for many years, however over the past few years I have focused most of my energy on lure and fly fishing, particularly in the salt. I think its safe to say I am an addict.

I particularly enjoy tying my own flies and making my own lures. Nowadays I fish almost exclusively with self-made flies and lures and get far more satisfaction out of fishing this way.

Welcome Dave,

I cut my estuarine and surf fly fishing teeth in the EC (my then girlfriend's folks lived in Hankey so I fished the Gamtoos, and myself, stukkend)

I'd love to see the lures you make yourself as well as some of the flies you tie.

It will be nice to have an addition to the limited number of SW obsessed guys on the forum.
