    Andre...you just need to stop using 8x and start using 1x and then the hook set is great

    the barbless range of hooks do have a longer point than most conventional hooks so penetration is better, except when you set against a large trout's jaw, then the point just bends and hook set is poor...but barbless i love...no need to strike and can fish thinner tippet with solid hook ups, especially on smaller guys - for me at least

    I will get some barbless hooks and put it to the test this side. It would be interesting to hear what the salt fisherman experience.
