WOW, Good fishing to be had in that area.
I had very good success with the Goldilocks on the stillwaters in the Himeville area

Looks good! Hope you have the best time ever. Looks like some nice weather up there at the moment. Water cooling down with fish that pull hard. Enjoy!

    Hi Guys

Just a feed bank on Sani Valley this weekend.

In short this was the worst fishing experienced in the area.

I fished Lifton lake most of the time, there were 13 other seasoned fishermen there and we all blanked everyday.

On the second day we all got together to try and formulate a plan to cover the whole lake and find the fish but were very unsuccessful.

Please explain to me why as I was there for 4 days and did not see a single rising fish the entire time.

Pressure was 1017 the entire week water was cold except for the last day.

My thoughts are either there is no fish in the dam or weather was the issue.

    Hi Stanton,

Did you ask about their stocking policy? With the pressure stable and 14 anglers not having a knock in 4 days, or no rising fish, eish....

I think it hasnt been stocked in ages , he says there hatchery produces 30000 -50000 fish per year but when i went to go look at the hatchery it looks like it hasnt been used in years.

I reckon there should be some sort of governing body to check if dams are actually been stocked if the owners claim to stock it annually.

I've had pretty good fishing there in the past (about two years ago).

Its a big piece of water though, and has a reputation for being tough. Different proposition to smaller waters ...
