Default Arctic Silver flyrod and reel

On first view this product looks revolutionary. The reel is sublime and the finish odd.
Just another gimmik or face of where flyfishing is going???

I don't think its going to take off. It seems its another gimmick to hook a few gadget junkies. I suppose there are some that might think its worthwhile, but certainly not going to get close to anyones radar screen.

One thing it might do is offer good presentation in lighter rods due to the added flex in the butt.On the bigger rods tough i cant see how the added flex could offer any advantage. Also, your timing will have to be changed due to the added flex in hand, causing more moevement of the rod.
I would like the reel though

Not sure how this would aid presentation, seeing that presentation in light rods isn't a function of the butt flex, and if it is, its such a marginal component of presentation that I doubt its going to even be noticeable.

I wonder if the reel features a stacked disc drag system?
