Is there something uniquely special to these rods, only reason I am asking is because a few people have asked for these rods? Or is it simply a nostalgic matter?

Try Kingfisher (old Kings)in Durban - they may still have one stashed away in their stores as they have been the Diawa agents for over 30 years

Yes, one of the best rods I've(as a member of the proliteriat) owned, but broke, cause Im also an idiot. The reel slides into a buttpiece and not into the cork handle. The rod was on the market for an period of over 25 years??? Must have won over many hearts and souls!!?? Has mine, I know. The 7'6 was my favourite rod ever.

I broke my 9ft 7/8wt osprey a few years ago too. Great rods, but the 2 piece makes them impractical for me, so they never get used. I still have my 8ft 5/6 wt - pm me if that would interest you.

    Cheers

Thank you, had a look. But the cork and reel seat was replaced on the Osprey, not the original backwards locking reel seat.
