    Yes, I think its good value for the amount of effort, and given that the particular individual I was referring to is a highly respected cane rod specialist. Mario, its Steve, you know him well I think. His rods are very highly sought after. I think the point I was trying to make, is that a rod from a highly regarded rod maker anywhere, is going to cost a lot of money, but yes, I appreciate the value in it.

    We should speak to Korrie, he makes a lot of plastic furniture that looks like cane. You wont be able to tell the difference... maybe he can supply some plastic fly rod blanks that look like cane...I bet half the fly fisherman in the world wont be able to tell the fdifference.

    He sure has some pedigree, but 70K for a rod? Perhaps if it was rods made by Leonard himself. I suppose if people are prepared to pay 70k for a rod then why not hey.
