Thread: Flies for bass

    I tried my hand at tying Gerrit's version of the Largie Muddler.

    My approach was to tie in a zonker tail and complete the head with the v-style kinky muddler technique.

    Faults:
    1) Nose / tie-off, I get way too carried away with the nose so to speak, these things look like they dronk, but at the same time, it will serve as a nice trigger.
    2) I need to trim the belly a bit more and expose the hook a bit more.

    Other than that, I quite happy with these...I dubbed them the "Maraba Minnow"...
