Stillwater Clinic @ Lakies - July 2016
Hi All,
After many requests, we are pleased to announce that we will be offering an intermediate-level Stillwater Fly Fishing course at Lakensvlei in Ceres. The dates will be between the 2nd and 3rd July 2016.
We will start at 8am at the CPS clubroom for a day of theory, and should be completed by 5pm. The following morning we will meet at Lakensvlei at 7am for a day of practical, ending at around 4pm. This is an intermediate level course and participants should be competent casters and should be prepared for a lot of technical information.
An outline of the course material will be as follows:
· Basic Entomology
· Understanding where to find fish
· Looking for Change
· Tackle and Rigging
· Introduction to Loch Style fishing from a boat
· Buzzer techniques
· Wet fly techniques
· Lure techniques
· Other techniques – Boobies to Bungs
· Retrieves
· Discussion on flies and fly choice
· Fly-tying
· Intermediate to Advanced casting
The cost of the course is R2995 per person – Please note there are only 8 spaces available in total to ensure that each person get the individual attention that they may require. This includes:
