    Default Yellowfish Stomach pumping

    Hey Guys

Has anyone pumped a yellowfish's stomach like they do for trout?

I have never done it and would be super interested to see what inside. Knowing how yellows key in on food types in certain periods (Hatches, seasons, water type), I would think it would be very useful to do so on the river.

    Cheers

    J

i read this before, http://www.tomsutcliffe.co.za/fly-fi...ed-herbst.html maybe Alan Hobson from Angler & Antelope can help.
also have read another article making reference to the investigation of stomach contents of yellows, just cant find it, but my mind keeps thinking of wag 'n bietjie study on yellow movents, maybe in one groups/links that helped with the study.
just saying that it has been done, just dont know how but as you have mentioned above, i always find info from lifting rocks in different sections of the river, keeping an eye on floating/hatching and flying insects for answers
