    Default Strand area for blacktail

Has anyone fly fished for Blacktail in the Strand area in winter recently? Where's a good spot to try for them there? I'm keen to throw a fly for them this weekend, any tips or ideas

The spot I used to bait fish for blacktain infront of "Something Nice" ice cream shop. I see they busy upgrading that area now so fishing there might not be the same as before.

Whilst you are there, catch a couple of sharks on fly as well.

Hi Brett, probably best to fish the gullies from an hour before low to an hour after or so. From Blakes towards Greenways.
