From there take her to the rivers.
I have seen a couple of kids loose interest very quickly on the river if the fish are off and it is a little cold, never to return to fishing
At the stocking pond it is easy to have a flask of coffee handy, she stays dry etc.
Wading etc is not fun, when you are young, it is cold or windy and you struggle to cast
