Thick Velvet Chenille

Has anybody ever tried Thick Velvet Chenille in fly tying? It seems to be about 8 to 10 mm thick! It's avaliable in a range of colours including some metallic ones and in 30 meter lengths. I'm ordering 8 rolls of white (minimum order) and will try it out.

I found some of those thick velvet chennille at a material shop here in CPT - The only problem is that they only sell it in bulk - R76 for 113m.

Maybe a bunch of us must club in and buy a few rolls ?

Do anyone else know where one can find chenille in CPT ?
