    Exclamation RED ALERT - Extreme Case!

    Any contacts with Freestate conservation authorities?
    Reports of mass "culling" of spawning LM at Vanderkloof Dam and Orange river below dam.
    Urgent help required in the interest of conservation!

    Thanx for the info guys, Dirk is a member of the NCYWG and has already been notified. He's got the wheels rolling by now.
    Apparently the locals rock up at this piece of water in their masses with pic handles and shovels and then just start a "hitting spree" in the school of 100's of spawning fish. They get about 3 out of 5 hits and the others just float downstream to die later.
    The fish then get sold in the township at R5 each - some being over 6kg in weight.
    Let's hope this mindless slaughter can be put to an end without the politics that usually goes with it.

    I hope you wrong Jasper as well Jasper - yet they all so willing to do some thing about the alien fish wich I agree with lets just hope the are willing as well to sore this out
