    (tho' I'm not "arnoc")

    I was using a 12 SA Tarpon clear intermediate line.
    These rods work beautifully with shooting heads - all sinking densities.

    I'm far from being a surf-expert, but there is a great variety of rods with appropriate stopping power I guess...(TCR 9129, CND Atlantis 11-12wt, etc...)
    I would be really glad to test my 1212 on some serious fish...even if I'm risking loosing it...

    There are a lots of great info on the speyclave-forum about this kind of fishing. And people all over the world catch serious fish with DH-rods.

    But really, the variety of tackle and methods is another enjoyable part of this wonderful obsession of ours...with one- or twohanded, doesn't matter
