Hammerheads at struisbaai......
Apparently there were quite a few of these guys around on the plaat....cruising just behind the first wave......chasing and feeding on litle bait fish......ideal flyfishing conditions......wish i was there......

Hammerheads!!! Hammerheads!!
That is ace....I recall hooking and landing two hammerheads on fly in the knysna heads. It was a neap tide. We have two livewell buckets drifting alongside our boat and suddenly these hammers just pitched up.
Mmmm , took my 8 weight and a beeeg clouser + wire. Took a little effort and patience as they need to see the fly and "feel" the fly in order to grab hold of it.
But when they do.....mayhem!
Its like tying you line to an F1 car on the start of a grand prix....and thats about it! The rest of the fight is no big deal!
Try sight fish to them!
