    Exclamation Hello everybody

    Hey there guys

    Stumbled across this site in an effort to increase my catch rate

    I have been dooing the "papgooi" thing for a few years...
    A while ago I decided to do some flyfishing...
    So me old man and me got a coupla fly rods...a few flies...
    and hit the river...
    And caught....nothing...

    Well...after a little research on the net and consulting flyshop owners etc...our success rate has increased slightly...with my record being 6 hookups and 2 landed fish in a 5 hour fishing session...not very high I know...but I am getting there...hehe

    I have fished yellowfish paradise, eastco and fisheagle...
    I am based in the vaal...and whenever there are trips out that way I want to try and join

    Hi Warren, welcome to the forums. There are quite a few members who live in the Vuildriehoek, ( myself included ). Keep an eye on the forums especially the yellows threads, quite often the blokes will post where they are going, and knowing most of them they would be happy to give you a few pointers.

    I am actually going to try get out on the river next saturday...
    Probably in the parys region...
    My buddy who I usually fish with is leaving for korea in 2 weeks so I want to get in one more trip before he leaves.
