    Howzit Pierre,

I was there a few weeks ago and it needed more rain. Been fishing coastal a lot though and getting some nice carp around the 7kg mark.

    Cheers
    Grant.

This was 2 or 3 weeks ago though so things may have changed since then.

The canal was very low, but clear and you could see the bottom. There were no fish in the canal that I could see, definately no large carp or catfish.

Well glad to hear its clean. Not expecting much more rain as the days are warming up though. I think one must not confine your fishing just to the canal and where it washes out. But wade around the bird sanctuary. I havent explored much of that area, but looking forward to it.

Ja, had a look approx 2 weeks ago and the canal was still a no go- just way too shallow. ANyways Coastal is so nice at the moment with no water hyacinth that it definitely seems the better place to fish at the moment.

And with the heat of the last few days it should really be cooking at the moment!

It can be done Kev! I'll mail you once I've checked with the powers that be.

Pierre, I'll let you know before our next coastal outing to see if you're keen. I might go this sunday (SWAMBO Permitting), and you're right - it's not the safest place so it's much better to go in a group. Let me know if you're keen.
