    Default "Twotone Caddis" Pattern/Instructions ?

    Howdy,

Watched GGY fish this one with great success during the A-League Nationals.

Anybody have a concise recipe ?

Howzit Scythe and welcome to the site.

Remember the recipe I gave you last week for the Sweetie on tfg (if you're wondering, Bastion=gkieser)? The Two Tone is in exactly the same article that I got the Sweetie recipe from (They are right next to each other), except the pattern is a Two Tone Nymph rather than a two tone caddis.

Here's the recipe straight from the mag:
    Hook: Caddis/Grub 18 - 12
    Thread: Brown Shear 14/0
    Bead: Optional
Tail: Coq De leon hackle fibres (I think grizzly hackle would do)
Body: Natural tan squirrel dubbing + holo dubbing
    Ribbing: Copper wire
Thorax: Dark brown Squirrel dubbing and holo dubbing
    Thorax Cover: Pearl Flash

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers
    Grant.

Thanks Grant (jou kieserkeurige knapie) you're bloody handy to have around when in need of patterns

Kevin Cox from CapeTown ... I'm assuming then that would make you the infamous ktC ? Thanks, thought I'd hook up somewhere where there is a little more action than on that other site

Arch Enema ? That sounds waaaaay too disturbing to be common fly fishing fare mefinks. Unless ofcourse, extreme kink is your thing. You make me wonder sometimes Grantstion :-P

ps : Never asked, how did you end up doing at the B-Leagues and did you encounter any spawning fish/areas like we discussed ?

I finished 10th in the B-Nationals - was pretty chuffed with that.

I encountered a lot more areas with spawning muddies than spawning yellows and we did steer clear of those areas. Shot for the advice on that.

The vaal was a very lekker experience for me, and now mango has made it a whole lot easier for me to get there for weekends.
