    You are right Chris. In the early days they did not strip one side of the hackle before being palmered as is done today. When it got waterlogged, was replaced with a dry one.

    Just out of interests sake has anyone every tried fishing a sunken RAB?

    I have thought about it many a time but never actually tried it!
