the 100's are good value for money. bought several of them for colours that I don't use often (olive, brown, grizzly, ginger, white)

got size 16, works well for "standard" hackle on 16's as well as parachute hackle on size 18 (dry size I use most)

basically got 2 bronze rooster capes (light dun and black), and then 100-packs for a variety of colours.

i would sugest you add a brown / ginger rooster cape, and some hen necks, then you are sorted for decent quality hackle
