Cool Bells Whisky Fly Rod Query? Help!!!

Hi, I am trying to get some info on a 5/6 WT rod which came in a maroon rod & reel case. The only name on it is "Bells Whisky Fly Rod"
I would really appreciatte if anyone could let me know who manufactured these rods and were they part of the annual Kamburg Festival. If so were they promotional gifts or prizes?
Any History would be greatly appreciatted.
    Thanks

Must be Explorer rod. Probably the Classic-series.

Sorry, made a mistake. The Explorers that they handed out came in green holders.

There was a promo on Bell's whisky a couple of years ago. You got a rod and reel in the maroon bag along with a bottle of whisky in a gift pack for Dad around Christmas 2003 or so.

Quite sorry I missed that one. Looks like a handy kit for the car. Drop of whisky would have gone well in a cuppa Earl Grey too....

Never mind the rod. Does it still come with the whiskey?

Nope. It was part of a gift pack along with a bottle of whisky.

    Lardo,

I was too much of a gentleman to correct the Other One on his Spelling, but as you've done it I'll be a brown-nose sycophant and say 'Hear, Hear'!

PS when is one back in town, the FF natives are getting restless for a Gil's Safari??
