Fished their past weekend, Elands valley…

    The following worked for me.

In the morning and during the day – Black and Olive WB with orange tail, Whisky fly, Grey Zonker with bright green tail
Late afternoon and evening – Small black nymphs fished on a floating line just under the surface

    Hi Henried,

In which of the dams did you fish at Elandvallei?

...personally I would go to Boven or get permission to fish the river at Onder....just seems cheaper all round BUT I have not fished those waters for several years so circumstances could have changed!!!

POACHER'S DAM, it was the most protected from the wind. there is alot of weed beds, the water is very clear.

We are going back in October, hope to fish the other dams then...

At Dunkeld you shouldn't be without a red DDD ... snip off the tail ... tie on three at a time ... slap the water feverishly and then just let it sit there.
