Depending if there is a bead, lead wire, diffirent color dubbing for the head, hotspot etc, between 1 min and 2 min.
Guys
For interest sake. How long does it take you to tie a basic fly? Lets say a basic GRHE!
Ok Korrie here is the edit: With lead, a bead and one basic colour!
So the Question is: How long does it take you to tie a basic GRHE?

Proably 1 min and 30 seconds.
But then I have to tie at least 5.
To sit and tie 1 only, that is a nightmare.
Find the thread, to get the right size bead. Looking for the right thickness lead wire. Then it could be even 5 minutes.

Lately its been taking me ages, like a few weeks or so, seeing as i have run out of hooks, dubbing, and dont have any beads
Under 5 minutes unless you're adding beads and weight and superglue.

I don't know about u supermen but anything under 5min will produce a pretty "slim" fly.

More than 5 less than 10.

If you rush to get a fly done it doesnt create the joy its supposed to create.

Have just spent a hour or so yesterday tying some the Tom Sutcliff way , illustrated in his book. Once I had the "feel" , around 4 minutes for a basic copy.
But i get bored very quickly tying the same pattern repeatedly. Tied 3 this morning quickly , and the were quite sexy.... lets hope those fish at Sterkies think so ..
