    Does anybody have any information with regards to barbel fishing in the western cape and which flies do you use

    the man to speak to would be shaun mills at flywaters.he has written an article on flyfishing for barbel in the cape peninsula.he will be able to help you with tackle and fly selection as well.as far as i know the black river and liesbek rivers hold barbel.wooly buggers or anything thats big and can push water or rattle will get there attention.good luck........

    Boet, Saturday morning we must go a barbel hunting! (I will need to take some of my frustrations out on them brutes before watching an ignorant buddy of mine get married! )

    Barbel? Those fish live anywhere! Sean has caught them in the Black River! Which, I think, is one of the most polluted rivers I've ever seen.
