Picking up some fish in your trawling net does not constitute the en-masse arrival of fish!

Heard from a mate in the Eastern Cape that they have been nailing the Kob and Geelbek in a big way. Boats are getting their quota's in an hour.

    Default Tuna classic: P.e.

    HI GUYS,

The yearly Tuna classic got off to a bad start with few tuna being boated. Sizes were small. Hope the fishing picks up.

You've jinxed it. Only the sard boys caught this morning. The guy's down here start off with size 8 flies for scratching for a variety then only move onto size 2-1/0 clousers if the shad or kingies pull in. Just bought a throw net.

Tempted. The stinkyfinger clan were the only folks catching yesterday. Rog had 5 FF 'ers from the club on the beach. For once we crowded out the bait guy's.

The weather was crap today for the tuna guys. Rest day I would expect, will see what happens 2/morrow.

Got a call this morning from a mate at Hole in the wall. Garrick and lage Blue shad were smashing size 2/0 Flippers on a very very fast retrieve. He said that if the strip was not super quick there would be few smashes. Insane.
