    Post Tigerfish flies

This holiday we are going to the Victoria Falls and on our way there we are staying at places were we can catch tigerfish! If someone has some advice on what flies to use and maybe a SBS or two it would help a lot! Another thing is where do you buy wire for the tip of the leader

    Hi

You should use Powerflex cable - piano wire snaps right off - as a bite tippet, about 10-15cm is enough - get some at upstream, I think they have.

Flies in black, purple, blue, chartreuse and red.

Lekker large eyes and you are set...

We are off to the Kavango River on Friday... tell me more about this Powerflex cable? What exactly is it? I have tied up about 30 piano wire traces and now Im worried!

Rio Powerflex cable/wire - I think you get it in a range of strengths. You should be able to get it at most of the fly shops.

I dont think you should be scared of the piano wire - but the fact is - if you bend piano wire and straighten it again it snaps - just like it says on the packet...

Read through the other post he explains exactly how to connect the trace etc.

You shouldn't be scared of the tigers - keep them in control!!
