    Exclamation Cape Town angling spots

I'll be in CT from 16th to 21st and looking for some water to test on Sunday afternoon (16th).
    I don't have a saltwater rig, but will pack a 6wt.
Any pointers or fishing buddies around for the 16th afternoon?

not much happening on the saltwater front...except maybe if the snoek are around but then you need boat access.i fear the only thing you cast a fly at with that 6w is a troot.....or maybe a carp or barbel.
stephen is wishing he was fishing location x right now.......

6wt is a bit of an overkill for troot, but will go for carp and buthelezi bass any time
Any places within 1/2 hour drive from Edgemead?

Looks like I'm gonna target the tilapia in the canal from the office window again during lunch breaks!

Is Google Earth our friend or what?
I've just been checking out the area around Rietvlei and the river feeding the lagoon at Milnerton.
Anything worth trying there? I could possibly do this route daily between 4pm and sunset, as it is only about a 15min drive from the office and the place I'll be staying in Edgemead.

Depends on if it rained or not, it can be flooded and then its of no good. Beware, the sewage farm is on that river and I wouldnt go close without a wader and a long net. Some carp and tilapia in there.

    To all the Slaapenaars,

I am so dissappointed in your collective responses to this thread.

Here is a genuine request from a respected forumer ( allthough from the Freestate ) and not ONE offer to take him out.

Come on guys, there are enough of you down there that are not going to the Richtersveld.

Not suprising you haven't won the Curry Cup since who knows when, seeing that you are so secretive that your flyhalf can't remember the 1st centre's name.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.
