That was a (PZTT) Purple Zonker Tailed Toad I tied on a 4/0 Gama SC15 3x. But then he crossed paths with MR. POON.

50 min later he became a tired retired slodier.

This was a fly that caught a 130cm, 108lbs GT in Alphonse...and what it looked like after a long mighty battle...
(Angler was Charlie Strachan, not me...sadly...)
It just fell out of the fish's mouth when they landed it...bent open, the works. And that's a TOUGH hook.

When you mention fish fever, the Poon strain is probaly the worst of all.

For those who have not seen Tarpon in shallow water rolling etc.

Imagine fishing for 6" (that is right, 6 feet or 1,8m,) trout that are rising to dry flies. In certain places you could cast to 80 of these fish a day.

    Toooooo terrriblleeeee

Nymphing, adds depth to your fly fishing.
Nymphing, is fly fishing in another dimension

One day I hope to be attached to one of these bastards as it leaps it's entire ~100lb body out of the water ...

    Imagine that ...
