    .....and there are no browns in the Witels either...floods, otters....:biggrin:

    You start at the Outeniqua Trout lodge and hike upstream on the RHS of the river. There is a path until you get to a weir. Go above that and nymph the deeper pockets as you go upstream.

    Lots of otters, in the Witte and Witels, and they get a lot of fish Im sure. The difference is that in The Kwaai, there were never really very many fish, and it is a much more hostile environment for the trout. Anyway, speak to the Southern Cross guys if you want a real status...don't take my word for it.

    Nothing like first hand knowledge or experience. :wink: Browns are not as easily caught as rainbows. Many have blanked regularly on the Witte.......and there are trout there.
