    Default Greetings from Marius

    Hi all,
I am new to the forum and just want to say hi there. I have been fly fishing for only three years now and have a lot to learn. I do a bit of tying - mostly nymphs - and I like to fish for trout on still water and rivers. I do the occasional yellow fish trip but I am very green with them. I am looking forward to some good times on the forum.

    Welcome Marius!

Whereabouts in Gauties are you based? Reason I ask is we have a few clubs in the area and would be good to meet up and-or for you to join us on a Vaal trip

    Cheers
    Chris

    Welcome Marius.

There is allot of info on this forum, the search function will keep you reeding for day's on end.

A fishing buddy is also not to hard to find.

    Enjoy.

Hi Marius, as usual Chris Williams aka TOF, aka POTR, aka OMR was right. There are a lot of members in Gauteng and we organise Vaal trips as well as so called flytying gettogethers.
Enjoy, and don't be shy to post. It's only be participating that you will get the full benefits of the forums.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.

Dave, we never corrupt, or lead anyone astray,

All we do is try and teach the youngsters the finer points of life

If a bit of flytuig or actual fishing happens, then that's a BONUS.

Be willing to be led astray. If you are in these guys backyard, you will have tons of fun while fishing.
Behold the fisherman. he riseth early in the morning and disturbeth the whole household. mighty are his preperations. he goes forth full of hope and when the day is ended, he returneth smelling of strong drink and the truth is not with him. originator unknown.
