    Lately there's been alot of springer action just inside the marina. Gunna give it a try when theres no wind and they come to the surface

    Tried once - got a 3lb stripey in the Turning basin. Clear intermediate, #16 Copepod fly right on the bottom (Alan O'Connor pattern - blob of white Antron with a little tail) on a 3wt. I watched the mullet spin on it's wheels and nose down and take the fly off the bottom - let me say i saw my backing a good few times

    For those fish you need a .410, not a fly rod...
